Trellis is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Test Engineer to join our growing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong Quality Assurance background to utilize their knowledge of testing to positively affect software design, improve engineering practices, manage software testing, and assist with other quality measures for Trellis’ systems and products.

The role is Atlanta-based, with possibly some light travel for on-site customer assessments or implementations.

 You would be responsible for: 

  • Acting as Quality Ambassador by providing guidance to Software Engineers regarding guidelines for “testable software design”
  • Design and oversee implementation of a modern automation test framework to support all aspects of Quality Assurance, including the execution of test plans to perform both functional and system operational testing
  • Evaluation and selection of third-party tools and frameworks to accelerate our internal testing framework development and use
  • Define the testing stages (integration, component, deployment, configuration) of our Software Delivery Pipeline
  • Work within a Product Development team to analyze business requirements, identify user stories, test deliverables and provide effort estimates
  • Translate product requirements into test cases and test data in a complex, heterogeneous environment
  • Defect identification, stressing prevention by focusing on testability during design and implementation
  • Lightweight reporting of issues, risks and status in a Scrum or Kanban framework
  • Strive for continuous improvement and evolving our test practices

 We are excited to speak with someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Strong testing skills and proficiency with test automation tools
  • Experience of building strong working relationships within a team environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, organized and determined with a high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in talking to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in the project
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes to our Software Delivery Pipeline
  • Experience with scripting languages specifically Javascript with NodeJS framework
  • Experience building automation framework using selenium WebDriver or equivalent framework
  • Experience testing REST API calls using Postman or similar 

 And bonus points if you have experience with a couple of these, too:

  • Healthcare software
  • Experience with UI Automation software and testing
  • Experience with Agile/Lean/Scrum/Kanban
  • Healthcare data sets: ADT, Scheduling, Encounter, Claims, Hospital Charges etc
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Deployment
