Brandon Newman

Chief Operating Officer and General Manager

Brandon Newman is the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager for Trellis Rx. He is responsible for delivering outstanding service to our partner health systems and their patients by ensuring best-in-class clinical results, patient satisfaction, operational effectiveness and financial performance.

He began his specialty pharmacy career at Nova Factor, Inc. and remained through the Accredo, Medco, and Express Scripts acquisitions. Prior to Trellis, Brandon served as the Program Director of Trade Relations and Market Access for the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy (VSP) where he collaborated with payers and manufacturers to gain access to limited distribution medications and preferred network agreements. Brandon also served as the Clinical Programs Manager at VSP where he led embedded clinical specialty services providing comprehensive and coordinated pharmacy care to patients prescribed complex regimens. He is actively involved in the specialty pharmacy community, currently serving as Vice President of the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board (SPCB). He is also a member of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, serving on their education and clinical outcomes committees.

Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee, and his Master of Management in Health Care from Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.

Brandon, his wife, daughter and two sons reside in Franklin, TN, where they enjoy spending time on the sports fields.
